Kesem Connection - November 2025

This past Sunday, we hosted an amazing group of campers from every unit at the University of Maryland campus for our annual Friends & Family Day! Our Operations and TLP coordinators planned a great day with activities ranging from friendship bracelet making to Capture the Flag to some catapult fun (and of course a camp song or two). We also held a caregiver informational session and social to help keep our Kesem Community connected outside of camp. Shoutout to our coord members, returning counselors, photographers, and new Kesem members that helped to make this Friends & Family Day so amazing!

It’s that magical time of year again — Giving Tuesday is coming up on December 2nd! The incredible support we receive on Giving Tuesday helps us create an unforgettable week of Kesem magic for our amazing campers. From laughter and love to late-night campfire songs, Giving Tuesday is one huge part of bringing Kesem Love & Magic to camp each year.

This year, we’re going BIG — our goal is $47K in just 24 HOURS!! Every dollar raised brings us closer to another summer full of joy, connection, and endless Kesem memories.

Our Kesem members will be busy this GT with many fundraising activities on campus, with things like:

• Coffee and Bake Sale!

• Pie a Counselor!

• Crochet + Plant + Jibbitz Sale!

• Inflatable Character Photos!

• Green Turtle Profit Share!

• Power Hour!

We can’t wait to make some magic and show everyone what the Kesem community can do! 💙💚
